Each year for the past seven years the Ventura County Search and Rescue - Upper Ojai Team has held its annual fundraiser at Boccali’s. The fundraiser includes an all you can eat dinner and live music, raffle items and a silent auction. Each year we also raffle off a good mountain bike.

Since we receive little public funds we depend on the support of the community for search and rescue equipment, medical supplies and other team supplies like uniforms and foul weather gear.

During the 2006-2007 fiscal year we were able to purchase, two dry suites for water rescue; some alpine gear; a boat trailer; foul weather pants and new headlamps for every team member. For our command post, we purchased a new Gateway laptop computer and a wide format printer. The wide format printer was necessary for printing maps. We also purchase directional finding equipment for locating downed aircraft.  You can find photos and descriptions of this gear by clicking here.
