The Ventura County Sheriff's Department suggests that you fill out a hiking plan before you go hiking.

The Upper Ojai Search and Rescue team engages in many types of assignments from the Ventura County Sherriff. These can include operations in the wilderness areas of Ventura County as well as the urban areas of our neighborhoods. Each and every request requires a different approach with varying levels of complexity. Sometimes the simplest mission turns out to be the most difficult. The mission log below details the Upper Ojai SAR Team's activities.

When applicable we link to local news sources about the event, but we have been learning that many times the links over time disappear from the local papers, so we try our best to keep the links active, but in case they are not working please drop us a note and we'll try to reconnect the link or take it down. web coordinator
