The Ventura County Search and Rescue - Upper Ojai Team is an all volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through search, rescue and mountain safety education. Our members devote thousands of hours yearly to training, educating the public, and search and rescue operations. We provide all our own personal equipment, meals and transportation.

Since we receive no direct public funds we depend on the support of the community for medical supplies, search and rescue equipment and other team supplies like uniforms and foul weather gear. Take a look at the truck on the right, its our oldest truck - 1986. Almost 20 years old and it needs to be replace. Actually in August 2007 the truck was taken out of service for safety concerns. We are actively looking for funding for a replacement vehicle.

That's where you come in.

We are holding a fundraising event at Boccali's Restaurant in Ojai, October 4, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The fundraiser includes dinner and live music, lots of raffle items and a silent auction will be held. We are looking for your support for this valuable volunteer program, and we hope to see you at the event. We would appreciate your silent auction donation by September 25.
